Pretty much any dress/top/romper I see with a special back I buy. I think details on the back are so delicate and usually take people by surprise because they are hidden by my hair. From the front this is just a black dress, but when you turn around BAM you have body jewelry mimicking the strings and a black thin bra complementing the minimal back.
My friend, Olivia, does a great job detailing her outfits. She mixes gold and silver, wears multiple styles at once, breaks all the rules but it always looks awesome.
Olivia's finesse is in her accessories especially because she has such a wide range to choose from.
What you can learn from Olivia- mix it up. Blending girly pearls and bad ass real metal jewelry creates an interesting contrast that is fun and eye catching.

Layering necklaces by size is so attractive if you're wearing a plain but flattering top. It will give the solid color or scoop neck flair without taking away from the flattering shape of your shirt/dress.
Personally, I wear a lot of black, so I find layering necklaces is a great way to bring in color and current trends that you're into [ turquoise, sparkles, elephants, or whatever...]
Ring overload will always work. To you it might look sloppy and confusing but to the outer eye it seems purposeful and impressive. Most people will believe that you put a lot of thought into the order the rings appear.
Investing in pretty bras is one of the most practical accessories. They don't go out of style like skull jewelry and if you do end up hating the style you choose you can continue to utilize the bra without showing it off.
On low cut shirts, off the shoulder sweaters, chiffon, or side boob tank tops a pretty bra will quietly add detail to your outfit. Pretty bras are a fun surprise underneath anything! You can contrast the bra with your top or wear a similar color in a different texture/pattern.
